Energy efficient air filtration at Hillside

A Swiss based company, Zehnder, has designed an air filter system that is deemed to be the solution to this problem, as well as highly energy efficient.

Put simply, Zehnder is an air filtration system that is equipped with heat recovery technology. This means that fresh, filtered air is constantly being cycled into your home, and stale air  (respiratory CO2, cooking smells, bathroom humidity) is discharged. With this process happening throughout the entire day, it has a massive impact on the quality of air you're breathing.

While this air exchange is taking place, the Zehnder system is also using the temperature of the exiting air to pre-treat the incoming air. Meaning: in the winter, when you are heating your home, and the Zehnder system is discharging air, it’s recovering the heat from that air, and using it to pre-treat the fresh air cycling in. This way, when you are constantly intaking fresh air, you are using significantly less energy to heat that fresh air.
