Have you heard of a SIP? As lovers of all things that are acronyms, SIPs joined our diction quite seamlessly. A SIP is a Structural Insulated Panel - quite similar to our Hillside wall system that encompasses all structural wall elements into one. We are excited to partner with MGO Systems based out of Canada to manufacture our Barn SIPs. 

Here is what we love about MGO Systems' SIPs:

  • Eco-friendliness; they have no off-gassing, reduce job-site waste, and have a 30% reduction in heating and cooling expenses compared to traditional construction. 

  • Fire Resistance; these SIPs have a non-combustible, fire-resistant sheathing that has a zero flame spread and is fire-rated up to one hour. 

  • Fast Construction: The reduced labor will simplify and speed up construction by eliminating the need for onsite framing and insulation.

Construction and eco-friendliness are very often considered the antithesis of each other. But, with SIP wall systems we can find common ground between the two.
