The Common House at Hillside

One of the most exciting aspects of the Hillside project is the Common House. Located central in the neighborhood, its intentions are to be a place for community gathering, host shared time, and be a quite space for productive work. It's south facing windows frame the abundance of the central basin and are just steps away from the greenhouse.

The community wide CSA (community supported agriculture) share will be set up weekly at the Common House for residents to collect, trade recipes, and maybe even share a meal in the commercial kitchen! There are unlimited possibilities for this space such as community classes, craft nights, or summer cook outs.

Our team wanted to create a space that would serve as a platform for community gathering and interaction between all ages. We knew what to build to make plants grow, but as far as growing relationships we think the Common House will do just fine! See the plans below.
